The Associated Builders and Contractors of Metro Washington and Virginia honored Donohoe Construction project, Anthology, with the 2017 “Excellence in Construction” award in the ‘Residential Multi-High Rise Construction’ category. The Donohoe Construction project team accepted this award during the annual awards ceremony held on Thursday, September 14th at the Ritz Carlton in McLean, Virginia.

The Excellence in Construction awards program is developed to honor innovative and outstanding quality construction projects. The award recognizes all project team members, including the contractor, owner, architect, engineer and subcontractors. The winning projects are selected from entries submitted from across the DC metro area and judged in 24 award categories by industry experts on complexity, attractiveness, unique challenges overcome, completion time, workmanship, innovation, safety and cost.

Developed by Jair Lynch Real Estate Partners, the 307-unit luxury apartment building consists of a 9-story concrete apartment building with 181 units and a 5-story wood frame building with 126 units, 3 levels of below grade parking, and ground level retail.  Amenities include an interior courtyard with a zen water feature and grill area, a fitness room, a first-floor multi-purpose area with fireplace, library/game room and kitchen area, and a rooftop pool and deck. Anthology was designed by Hord Coplan Macht and has achieved NGBS Green Certification.
